Future Path

Image
In ten years, I envision myself living my dream while also helping my grandparents. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a lawyer because I looked up to smart people, but as I got older, I realized law might be too tough for me. Now, I'm considering studying abroad to become a nurse. I imagine myself working in a hospital, helping people feel better every day. It's important to me to make a difference in people's lives, and nursing seems like a good way to do that. Plus, it's a job where I can keep learning and growing. While pursuing my nursing degree, I'll also find ways to support my grandparents. They've always been there for me, so it's my turn to help them out. Whether it's by visiting them regularly, helping with chores, or just spending time together, I want to make sure they feel loved and cared for. In the next decade, I hope to achieve my dreams while also being there for my family. It won't always be easy, but with hard work and determinati...

Lola's Sacrifices

Image
Growing up with my lola was a blessing, especially since my mother was an OFW. Lola stepped into the role of both grandmother and mother, making countless sacrifices for me. From my early years as a kid to navigating the challenges of being a teenager, lola was always there. As a kid, I relied on lola for everything. She cooked my meals, helped me with my homework, and tucked me into bed at night. Despite her own fatigue, lola never complained. She sacrificed her time and energy to ensure I felt loved and cared for, just like a mother would. Transitioning into my teenage years brought its own set of struggles, but lola remained my rock. She offered guidance and wisdom, even when I was too stubborn to listen. Lola sacrificed her own desires to prioritize my well-being, constantly reminding me of the values my mother instilled in me, despite being miles away. Lola's sacrifices went beyond the physical realm. She made sure I understood the importance of education, hard work, and res...

How Change Begins with Us

Image
Starting with ourselves is the first step towards making a difference in the world. When it comes to the environment, even small changes in our daily habits can have a big impact. Simple actions like reducing our use of single-use plastics, recycling, and conserving energy can contribute to a healthier planet. It's about being mindful of our consumption and waste and making choices that are more sustainable. Educating ourselves about environmental issues is another important aspect. By staying informed about the challenges facing our planet, we can better understand how our actions affect the environment and what we can do to mitigate harm. This knowledge empowers us to make informed decisions and advocate for policies and practices that promote conservation and sustainability. Getting involved in local environmental initiatives is a great way to make a tangible difference in our communities. Whether it's participating in clean-up efforts, supporting conservation projects, o...

Remembering Courage

Image
"Araw ng Kagitingan," or the Day of Valor, is a special day in the Philippines. It's a day to remember how brave Filipino soldiers were during World War II. We commemorate this day to honor their courage and sacrifices. Back during World War II, the Philippines was invaded by Japan. Filipino soldiers fought alongside American forces to defend our country. Even though they were outnumbered and facing tough challenges, they didn't give up. They fought hard to protect our freedom. One of the most famous battles was the Battle of Bataan. Filipino soldiers fought bravely for months, even though they lacked supplies and help. Eventually, they had to surrender, but their bravery is remembered to this day. The Day of Valor is a time for us to think about the sacrifices made by these soldiers. Many of them suffered a lot during the war, and some even lost their lives. We say thank you to all Filipino veterans for what they did for our country. As we celebrate Araw ng Kagitin...

A Quarter 3 Journey

Image
In Quarter 3 of ICT 10 with Mrs. Vera Cruz, we dove into something called Community-Based Research. It's kinda like regular research, but with a twist. We learned a bunch about this new way of doing research, and it was pretty cool. Basically, we got to work closely with people in the community to make sure our research was spot on and actually helpful. One of the highlights was creating our own web design for our research project. It was hands-on and fun. We got to play around with HTML and learn things like ordered and unordered lists. Our practice teacher showed us the ropes, and it was neat to see how everything came together on a webpage. we had to present our research and web design to the class. It was nerve-wracking but also kinda exciting. We got to show off what we'd learned and how we made our web design. Overall, Quarter 3 in ICT 10 was a mix of learning new research methods, getting creative with web design, and stepping out of our comfort zones to present our wo...

Bridging Communities through Research and Web Design

Image
In our ICT 10 class with Mrs. Vera Cruz  introduce to us the Community-Based Research (CBR), which provided us with a unique perspective compared to traditional research methods. Throughout this experience, we gained invaluable insights into the significance of engaging directly with the community in our research endeavors. Unlike conventional research, CBR emphasizes collaboration with community members, ensuring that our findings are not only accurate but also directly address the needs and concerns of the community. This approach taught us the importance of empathy and active involvement in understanding the context in which our research operates, ultimately broadening our understanding of how ICT impacts various communities. Our journey in ICT 10 didn't stop at theoretical understanding we also had the opportunity to apply our knowledge practically by creating a web design for our research project. This hands-on experience allowed us to integrate our newfound understandi...

A Fun-filled Day

Image
The 122nd High School Day Celebration at ISNHS was one heck of a day! It all started with a big parade where everyone from our school, even the teachers, marched together. We were all buzzing with excitement because they were going to give out an award for the most disciplined section. And guess what? Our section won! We were jumping for joy! After the parade, things got even more exciting. Each grade level put on these awesome performances showcasing different festivals like the Ilocos Sur Festivals and Sinulog Festivals. It was like a big party with everyone cheering and clapping for each other. I loved seeing all the colors and hearing the music it was so much fun! But the fun didn't stop there. After the festival performances, we headed to the gym for a mini concert. Both teachers and students got up on stage and performed all kinds of songs. It was amazing to see our teachers rocking out and having a blast alongside us. We sang along, danced, and just had the best time toget...
