A Quarter 3 Journey

In Quarter 3 of ICT 10 with Mrs. Vera Cruz, we dove into something called Community-Based Research. It's kinda like regular research, but with a twist. We learned a bunch about this new way of doing research, and it was pretty cool. Basically, we got to work closely with people in the community to make sure our research was spot on and actually helpful.

One of the highlights was creating our own web design for our research project. It was hands-on and fun. We got to play around with HTML and learn things like ordered and unordered lists. Our practice teacher showed us the ropes, and it was neat to see how everything came together on a webpage.

we had to present our research and web design to the class. It was nerve-wracking but also kinda exciting. We got to show off what we'd learned and how we made our web design. Overall, Quarter 3 in ICT 10 was a mix of learning new research methods, getting creative with web design, and stepping out of our comfort zones to present our work.

During our exploration of Community-Based Research, we discovered the importance of empathy and understanding when engaging with the community. Unlike traditional research methods where data collection might feel detached, CBR allowed us to connect with real people and understand their needs firsthand. This hands-on approach not only enriched our research process but also fostered a sense of responsibility towards the community we were studying. It was empowering to see how our research could directly impact and benefit those around us.

As we delved into web design, we realized the power of effective communication and presentation. Designing a website wasn't just about making it look good it was about making complex information accessible and engaging for our audience. Through trial and error, we learned how to structure our content, choose colors and fonts, and create navigation that made sense. It was a lesson in creativity and practicality, where every design decision had to serve a purpose in conveying our research findings effectively.

Quarter 3 in ICT 10 was a transformative experience. We not only learned valuable research and technical skills but also developed a deeper understanding of the importance of community engagement and effective communication. Whether it was collaborating with community members or designing a user-friendly website, every aspect of our journey in ICT 10 reinforced the idea that technology can be a powerful tool for positive change when used with empathy and purpose.
