Bridging Communities through Research and Web Design

 

In our ICT 10 class with Mrs. Vera Cruz introduce to us the Community-Based Research (CBR), which provided us with a unique perspective compared to traditional research methods. Throughout this experience, we gained invaluable insights into the significance of engaging directly with the community in our research endeavors. Unlike conventional research, CBR emphasizes collaboration with community members, ensuring that our findings are not only accurate but also directly address the needs and concerns of the community. This approach taught us the importance of empathy and active involvement in understanding the context in which our research operates, ultimately broadening our understanding of how ICT impacts various communities.


Our journey in ICT 10 didn't stop at theoretical understanding we also had the opportunity to apply our knowledge practically by creating a web design for our research project. This hands-on experience allowed us to integrate our newfound understanding of CBR principles with technical skills in web design, enhancing our ability to communicate our research findings effectively. By developing a visually appealing and user-friendly website, we learned how to present complex information in a digestible format, ensuring that our research reaches a wider audience and has a lasting impact


The culmination of our efforts was the presentation of our research and web design project. This moment not only showcased our hard work and dedication but also provided us with the platform to share our insights with our peers and community members. Through this experience, we honed our presentation skills and learned how to articulate our research process, findings, and the significance of our web design in addressing community needs. Overall, our ICT 10 journey equipped us not only with technical skills but also with a deeper understanding of the importance of community engagement and effective communication in research and ICT.

Fiesta na sa Vigan

  Vigan's fiesta is something else     it's a party that brings together music, rides, and a whole lot of fun. I got to catch the marching band competition, and let me tell you, it was a real spectacle. A marching band is like a group of people playing instruments while walking together, making awesome tunes that get everyone in the groove. The beats and melodies filled the air, making the streets alive with energy. It was cool to see the musicians moving in sync, adding a lively vibe to the whole fiesta scene.  After enjoying the music, I headed to the carnival for some good old-fashioned fun. I tried out different rides, like the Viking swing, which was a wild ride back and forth. Then there was the Horror Train a bit scary but thrilling as it twisted and turned in the dark.
